underU4men

This employee-owned store in the heart of downtown has been serving up fashionable and functional quality men’s underwear for 2 decades. underU4men curates a selection of stylish men’s apparel and apothecary products from around the world. One of the things we love about this store is that it’s a welcoming, inclusive, and celebratory space for the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Their expert staff will help you find just what you need, from everyday to special occasion goods for your face to your fanny. Be sure to check out their new location on SW Morrison St.

citizen ruth

This Alberta St shop is bright with vibrant colors and graphics and owners Jenn and Cara serve up handmade goods from over 200 artists and makers from around the world. Citizen Ruth is an ethics forward company providing high quality, intersectional feminist art, books, clothing, jewelry, and personal and home accessories.

Citizen Ruth successfully combines art and media with social responsibility and activism. You’ll also find Citizen Ruth’s own branded products crafted in the Portland studio. From culture commentary to business practices, Citizen Ruth is dedicated to fighting inequality and leading the resistance. 

JP General

JP General brings their magic eye for comfortable, stylish environments and enduring life experiences to the heart of Multnomah Village. Their gorgeous shop is like touring a gallery of beautify things you want to incorporate into your home. JP General has goodies for my kitchen, my garden, our bodies (love their jewelry) and all those we want to shop for. Everything at this shop is a classic with a modern twist.

THE SPORTS BRA

The first-ever sports bar 100% dedicated to supporting and showing women’s sports. The Sports Bra empowers girls and women—both on and off the field, fostering a lifelong appreciation for equity in sports and beyond. It’s a place where everyone feels accepted and celebrated.  The Sports Bra serves signature cocktails featuring Portland’s women-owned Freeland Spirits and a lineup of beers, ciders, and kombuchas crafted by women. The Sports Bra is changing the game in the food, beverage and restaurant and bar industries, and making the celebration of women in sports and business a slam dunk for Portland.

Hip Chicks Do Wine

Hip Chicks do Wine is the labor of love by owners, winemakers, and wives Laurie Lewis and Renee Neely. Laurie and Renee make wine fun, approachable and affordable. Wine flight tastings start at 6 wines for $25. And you can bring your well behaved pup while enjoying wine on their outdoor patio (open April through Sept). Their tasting room is open Friday through Sunday and by appointment Monday through Thursday. Be sure to make it to one of Hip Chicks Do Wine’s drag-hosted Plant Bingo afternoons,  combining urban wine tasting with houseplant giveaways.

Freeland
Spirits

Freeland Spirits crafts small batch artisanal gin and whiskey right in NW Portland. Using thoughtfully selected botanicals, co-owner and head distiller, Jill Kuehler, creates delicious drinks for your delight! Their gorgeous tasting room has a view into the distillery where you can see “Hell Bitch” the stunning centerpiece of their production operations in action. And did we mention how beautiful their bottles are?! Freeland is intentional in their support of fellow women-owned businesses up and down the supply chain, and lifts up women in the Portland community and beyond through innovative partnerships and the Free Spirits program. 

Friendship Kitchen

Wives, Wei-En Tan Ph.D and Trang Nguyen, combine their shared love of travel, wine, and food to Friendship Kitchen, a culinary exploration of Vietnamese specialities from Chef Nguyen. They operate 3 distinct concepts, each with unique menus and vibes. North Mississippi Stem Wine Bar Friendship Kitchen offers a distinctive selection of wines that pair exquisitely with their menu. Their SE Glisan and original shop has casual patio vibes. A great place to relax on a beautiful day with a delicious meal. And their NW location explores flavors from Saigon to Singapore, a nod to the places Wei-En and Trang call home. Each Friendship Kitchen promises to deliver on an uniquely unforgettable meal.
